FAQ On Our Luxury Handmade Soap Bars

Natural soap is made with all-natural ingredients, such as vegetable oils, butters, and essential oils. It is made using a traditional saponification process, which combines fats and oils with an alkaline solution to create soap.

Regular soap, on the other hand, is often made with synthetic ingredients, such as detergents, fragrances, and preservatives. It is also mass-produced and may contain harsh chemicals that can strip the skin of its natural oils.

Here are some of the key differences between our soap and regular soap:

  • Natural & Organic Ingredients: Our soap is made with all-natural & organic ingredients, while regular soap is often made with synthetic ingredients with long chemical names.
  • Manufacturing process: Our soap is made using a traditional saponification process, while regular soap is often mass-produced using chemicals and heat.
  • Harshness: Our soap is much more gentler on the skin than regular soap, which can be harsh and drying.
  • Benefits: Our soap can offer a number of benefits for the skin, including:
  1. Moisturizing: Our soap features pure organic shea butter, olive oil and sunflower oil, which are all a natural moisturizer.
  2. Nourishing: Our soap contains naturally occurring vitamins from
ingredients you can recognize and pronounce that nourish the skin.
  3. Cleansing: Our soap is effective at cleansing the skin without stripping it of its natural oils.
  4. Gentle: Our soap is extremely gentle on the skin, even for people with sensitive skin.

Overall, natural soap is a better choice for people who want a gentle

Natural soap is made using a traditional soap-making process called saponification. Saponification is a reaction that occurs when fats and oils are combined with an alkali. This reaction produces soap and glycerol.  Check out our blog post for more details here.

Yes, natural soaps are generally suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin. Natural soaps are made with gentle ingredients and do not contain harsh chemicals, which can irritate sensitive skin.

In fact, many people with sensitive skin find that our soaps are the only soaps that they can use without experiencing irritation. This is because our soaps are made with nourishing ingredients, such as shea butter, coconut oil, and olive oil, which can help to soothe and protect the skin.

If you have sensitive skin, it is important to choose a soap that is made with simple ingredients. In some cases you may also want to avoid soaps that contain essential oils, as some essential oils can be irritating to sensitive skin.  Check out our Pure Soap Bar here.

Yes! Natural soaps can have a number of advantages for people with skin conditions like eczema and psoriasis.

Advantages of natural soaps for eczema and psoriasis:

  • Gentle and non-irritating: Our soaps are made with gentle ingredients that are less likely to irritate sensitive skin.
  • Moisturizing: Our soaps contain nourishing ingredients, such as shea butter, coconut oil, and olive oil, which can help to moisturize and soothe dry, irritated skin.
  • Anti-inflammatory: Our natural soaps contain ingredients with anti-inflammatory properties, such as oatmeal and shea butter. These ingredients can help to reduce redness and inflammation
    associated with eczema and psoriasis.
  • Antibacterial: Our natural soaps contain ingredients with antibacterial properties, such as coconut oil. These ingredients can help to prevent skin infections, which are common in people with eczema and psoriasis.

There are a few reasons why natural soaps may not last as long as commercial soaps:

  • Glycerin content: Natural soaps contain much more glycerin than commercial soaps. Glycerin is a humectant, which means it attracts moisture. This can cause natural soap to soften and dissolve more quickly than commercial soap.
  • Lack of hardening agents: Commercial soaps often contain hardening agents, such as sodium chloride (table salt) and sodium sulfate. These ingredients help to make commercial soaps harder and longer-lasting. Natural soaps, on the other hand, are not made with artificial hardening agents. This makes them softer and less durable than commercial soaps.
